On Monday 21 July 2014 a new National Law on Social and Solidarity Economy was approved in France.

The design of the law was conceived with the aim to:

– Recognize the ESS as specific industry clearly defined
– Better structure the organization of the sector to facilitate dialogue with
   public power
– Promote the development of this sector
