What is work? Who is paid for what and how much? How to work meaningfully, creatively and sustainably?How to make household, garden or farm work more visible? Are unemployment and being overworked „two sides of the same coin”? How different can work be in an enterprise owned by its employees? How to get employees involved in decision making? Where enterprises, co-ops, associations, where democratic way of doing things is functional, actually exist? What is a liberated company? How to make the legislature better as for shared and part time jobs, what can public policies do to facilitate paths to meaningful work? Is basic income a real alternative? How does volunteer work function? Are new types of work liberating or another kind of exploitation? Is freelancing really free? Will robots take our jobs?
These questions will be dealt with at seminar in a form of open space. Apart from social entrepreneurs, university and municipality representatives, freelancers, cooperative members and employees, organic farmers, ex-corporate employees, NGO workers and students from the Czech Republic, there will be a guest from Greece: Georgia Bekridaki, a founding member of DOCK Social and Solidarity Economy Zone in Athens (a RIPESS member) and a co-organiser of UniverSSE 2017, congress of social solidarity economy held in Athens.
RIPESS International set up an annual meeting agenda, for 2017 and 2018, to leave enough time for expert testimonials on different topics of interest identified by the group, and create a real international space for exchange. Please note that the meetings take place in all three RIPESS languages (French, English, Spanish).

These meetings are therefore open to all, not only to make the most of the experience of women invested and recognized for their work in the gender&SSE perspective, to share experience and thoughts, but also to contribute, according to participants’ possibilities to local, continental and global actions by participating more actively in the working group.
