RTES is organizing, in partnership with the City and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg and the SOL Movement, a "Local Authorities and complementary local currencies" day on Wednesday 23 May in Strasbourg.
Complementary Local Currencies (CLC) pursue several objectives: to allow the reappropriation of the currency by the citizens, to favor the relocation of the economic activity, to promote a more responsible consumption and to engage the companies in a progress approach to improve their practices of sustainable,development ... and also to question what makes the wealth of a territory.
The meeting, "Local authorities and Citizens: the winning couple for the change of scale of local complementary currencies? »Is intended primarily for elected officials and local authority services. It will address several questions, fon the basis of the testimony of local authorities and actors involved at various levels in CLC: what are the conditions for success of a local currency? What are the possible links between local currencies and public policies? What role can local authorities play? How to promote territorial development via monetary tools? How to make better understand the stakes and the interest of the local currency in the administration? How to make them attractive for residents and shops, and enable them to achieve a sustainable economic model? ...

These are the 4th Local Authorities National Meetings on Local and Citizen Currenciess, co-organized by RTES, the SOL Movement and its partners, the Stück, Coreum, the City of Strasbourg and the Eurometropolis.
